Factors

Each software development characteristic to be studied that affects the dependent variable is called a factor. Each factor has several possible alternatives.

Factors are also called predictor variables, or just predictors, as they are the characteristics of the experiment used to predict what would happen with the dependent variable. Another term, taken from mathematics and used for the factors, is independent variables, also known as cause.

Cada característica do desenvolvimento de software a ser estudado o qual afeta as variáveis dependentes é denominado um fator. Cada fator possui diversas alternativas possíveis.

Fatores também são chamados de variáveis previsíveis, como elas são características do experimento usadas para prever o quê poderia acontecer com as variáveis dependentes, sendo também conhecido como causa.
